When I first started learning web development, I thought having projects on GitHub was enough. But after talking to other developers and applying for freelance work, I realized something important.

People don't want to search through your repositories.

They want to see your work immediately.

That's why I decided to build my own portfolio website.

Why I Chose Framer

There are many ways to build a portfolio.

React
Next.js
Webflow
HTML & CSS

I chose Framer because it allowed me to focus on design, animations, and user experience without spending days setting everything up.

It also gives great performance and makes updates much easier.

My Goals

I wanted my portfolio to be more than just a collection of projects.

I wanted it to show:

Who I am
What I build
My design style
My development skills
My client work
A simple way for people to contact me
What I Included

My portfolio currently contains:

A clean landing page
Selected client projects
Case studies
A blog section
Contact page
Responsive design
Smooth animations
SEO optimization

I also focused on keeping everything fast and easy to navigate.

Design Philosophy

Instead of adding lots of effects, I tried to keep the design simple.

Some principles I followed were:

Plenty of white space
Clear typography
Easy navigation
Fast loading
Mobile-first layout
Consistent colors

I believe good design should help users find information quickly.

Biggest Challenges

Building the website wasn't difficult, but optimizing it was.

Some of the things I worked on included:

Improving SEO
Writing proper meta titles
Creating descriptions for every page
Submitting my sitemap to Google Search Console
Making pages mobile-friendly
Optimizing images

These small improvements make a big difference over time.

What I Learned

Creating a portfolio taught me much more than coding.
