      <description>&lt;p&gt;A little PSA for Android testers using Appium: If you are beating your head against the wall because you can't for the life of you find this confounded &lt;strong&gt;UI Automator Viewer&lt;/strong&gt; that's mentioned in article after article, that is probably because its seems to have been &lt;a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/androiddev/comments/1kky60p/where_is_uiautomatorviewer/" rel="noopener noreferrer"&gt;&lt;em&gt;deprecated&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt; and removed from the Android SDK. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You probably want to switch to &lt;a href="https://appium.github.io/appium-inspector/latest/quickstart/installation/#" rel="noopener noreferrer"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Appium Inspector&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I encountered this issue today and did quite a bit of googling without finding anything spelling things out clearly, so I figure posting this might help somebody else. (Especially given how even the &lt;a href="https://developer.android.com/training/testing/other-components/ui-automator#inspect-ui" rel="noopener noreferrer"&gt;Android Studio documentation&lt;/a&gt; still mentions &lt;em&gt;uiautomatorviewer&lt;/em&gt;.)&lt;/p&gt;
