One package for the whole life of a text.

Publishing a readable article usually means wiring three separate libraries: an editor to write in, a renderer to lay the text out, and something for audio if you bother. Each with its own API to learn and its own version to keep in sync.

editorkit keeps all three in one place. The editor is where you write. The article lays the text out — typography, tables, images. And a player reads it aloud, sentence by sentence, highlighting the sentence as it goes.

That last part is the least obvious. The audio is not a bolt-on: the same document that renders also speaks. One line of code gives you a complete article page, in React, Vue, Svelte or plain JS.

It is safe by default. No reader's text ever executes code, so an article cannot run a script on its page. Multilingual, with audio optional and provided by adapter — no provider imposed.

Licensed MPL-2.0. The live playground runs at lalter.org, source on GitHub.
