 Experimental diet models have proven to be vital to understanding the pathophysiology and management of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Lieber-DeCarli high-fat, liquid diet have been used to produce NAFLD in rat models. There is, however, currently no information on the effects of this diet in the mouse model. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ten (n = 10) male albino mice (27.7 ± 2.0 g) were divided into 2 diet groups (n = 5/group). Animals from group 1 were fed with standard chow diet (CD group) and those from group 2 were fed with Lieber-DeCarli high-fat, liquid diet (high-fat diet or HFD group) &lt;br&gt;
 for a period of 4 weeks. &lt;/p&gt;

 We focus on the importance of interpreting the quality of the labeling used as the input of predictive models to understand the reliability of their output in support of human decision-making, especially in critical domains, such as medicine. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Accordingly, we propose a framework distinguishing the reference labeling (or Gold Standard) from the set of annotations from which it is usually derived (the Diamond Standard). We define a set of quality dimensions and related metrics representativeness (are the available data representative of its reference population?); reliability (do the raters agree with each other in their ratings?); and accuracy (are the raters' annotations a true representation?). The metrics for these dimensions are, respectively, the degree of correspondence, Ψ, the degree of weighted concordance ϱ, and the degree of fineness, Φ. We apply and evaluate these metrics in a diagnostic user study involving 13 radiologists. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We evaluate Ψ against hypothesis-testing techniques, highlighting thatngs for the continuous development of trustable and interpretable MAI systems. &lt;br&gt;
We propose different dimensions and related metrics to assess the quality of the datasets used to build predictive models and Medical Artificial Intelligence (MAI).  A biobank is a structure which collects and manages biological samples and their associated data. The collected samples will then be made available for various uses. The sharing of those samples raised ethical questions which have been answered through specific rules. Thus, a Biobank functioning under tight ethical rules would be immensely valuable from a scientific and an economic view point. In 2009, Côte d'Ivoire established a biobank, which has been chosen to house the regional biobank of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) countries in 2018. To ensure optimal and efficient use of this biobank, the scientific community must be aware of its existence and its role. It was therefore necessary to evaluate the knowledge of laboratories staff on the role and activities of a biobank. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This descriptive study was done by questioning staff from laboratories working on human's health, animals or plants. The laboratories were located in southern Côte d'Ivoire. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A total of 205 people completed the questionnaire. Of these 205 people, 34.63% were biologists, 7.32% engineers, 48.78% technicians and 9.27% PhD students. The average length of work experience was 10.11 ± 7.83 years. In this study, 43.41% of the participants had never heard of biobanking. Only 48.78% of participants had a good understanding of the role of a biobank. Technicians and PhD students were less educated on the notion of biobank (p &amp;lt; 0.000001).  Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) affects 1-2 in 1,000,000 people. The disease is not associated with increased risk of treatment failure (especially among older children), but appropriate procedures implemented in advance can eliminate complications which might appear and significantly worsen the patients' quality of life. Thus, we sought to evaluate the clinical features, management, and outcome of children with LCH treated in Polish pediatric hematology-oncology centers. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One hundred eighty two patients with LCH were treated according to the Histiocytic Society Guidelines between 2010 and 2017. The participating centers were requested to provide the following data demographic, clinical, as well as local or systemic treatment data and patients' outcome. Overall survival (OS) and event free survival (EFS) were estimated by Kaplan-Meier methods and compared using the log-rank test. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sixty nine percent of children were classified as single system (SS). The patients with SS disease were significantly older as compared to the children with multisystem disease (MS), 6 vs. 2.3 years respectively (p 0.003). Bones were involved in 76% of patients. Systemic treatment was applied to 47% of children with SS disease and 98% with MS disease. Fourteen patients relapsed while two children died. OS and EFS in entire group were 0.99 and 0.91 respectively (with median follow-up 4.3 years). &lt;/p&gt;

In this Perspective, we review and discuss the current challenges in analytics of magic-size clusters, in elucidating their formation mechanism, and in using them as next-generation reagents in colloidal chemistry.Developing multicomponent transition-metal phosphides has become an efficient way to improve the capacitive performance of single-component transition-metal phosphides. However, reports on quaternary phosphides for supercapacitor applications are still scarce. Here, we report high capacity and energy density of Zn-Ni-Co-P quaternary phosphide nanowire arrays on nickel foam (ZNCP-NF) composed of highly conductive metal-rich phosphides as an advanced binder-free electrode in aqueous asymmetric supercapacitors. In a three-electrode system using the new electrode, a high specific capacity of 1111 C g-1 was obtained at a current density of 10 A g-1. Materials and Methods 269 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and 110 Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL) patients were evaluated retrospectively. Sensitivity, negative predictive value (NPV) and accuracy were calculated for PET/CT and BMB in detecting BMI. Results Sensitivity, NPV and accuracy for PET/CT in detecting BMI in NHL cases were 65%, 78% and 84.4%, respectively, while 55%, 73.4% and 79.9% for BMB. PET/CT performance for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma was better than BMB, whereas the performance of BMB was better for mantle-cell lymphoma, Burkitt's lymphoma and primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma. Sensitivity, NPV and accuracy for PET-CT in HL cases were 91.3%, 97.75% and 98.18%, respectively, while 56.52%, 89.69% and 90.91% for BMB. Due to BMB, 43 (15.9%) patients in the NHL group and 2 (1.8%) patients in the HL group were protected from downstaging. Conclusion PET/CT and BMB, although their results vary according to the NHL subtypes, are complementary methods in determining the BMI. In HL, PET/CT is an important diagnostic tool for detecting BMI, and BMB is not necessary in a significant proportion of cases.Dissorophoids are a diverse clade of predominantly Permo-Carboniferous temnospondyls with a wide geographic distribution and broad ecological diversity. This provides an impetus for further study of the late Carboniferous terrestrial dissorophoids in order to contextualize the early stages in the clade's radiation into terrestrial ecosystems. Here we present a redescription of the late Carboniferous trematopid Actiobates peabodyi from Kansas, USA, which is represented by a nearly complete skeleton and which represents the earliest occurrence of trematopids in North America. Only the skull was previously described, and the taxon has been largely overlooked in the context of early terrestrial dissorophoid evolution. Here, we provide an updated cranial description, the first postcranial description, and a discussion of the position of A. peabodyi in the context of olsoniform evolution. Our most significant finding is the characterization of postcranial anatomy that is highly similar to that of later trematopid taxa.       <description>&lt;p&gt;To provide recommendations on the use of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPis) for management of epithelial ovarian, tubal, or primary peritoneal cancer (EOC). &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Randomized, controlled, and open-labeled trials published from 2011 through 2020 were identified in a literature search. Guideline recommendations were based on the review of the evidence, US Food and Drug Administration approvals, and consensus when evidence was lacking. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The systematic review identified 17 eligible trials. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The guideline pertains to patients who are PARPi naïve. All patients with newly diagnosed, stage III-IV EOC whose disease is in complete or partial response to first-line, platinum-based chemotherapy with high-grade serous or endometrioid EOC should be offered PARPi maintenance therapy with niraparib. For patients with germline or somatic pathogenic or likely pathogenic variants in &lt;br&gt;
 (g/s &lt;br&gt;
 1) or &lt;br&gt;
 (g/s &lt;br&gt;
 2) genes should be treated with olaparib. The addition of olaparib to bevacizumab may be offered to patients wiBRCA1/2, or whose tumor demonstrates genomic instability.  Included were adult STEMI patients identified and treated with reperfusion therapy by paramedics in the field between January 2016 and December 2018 in Queensland, Australia. 30-day and one-year all-cause mortality was compared between two prehospital reperfusion pathways prehospital fibrinolysis versus direct referral to a hospital for primary percutaneous coronary intervention (direct percutaneous coronary intervention [PCI] referral). For prehospital fibrinolysis patients, factors associated with failed fibrinolysis were investigated. For direct PCI referral patients, factors associated with mortality were examined. &lt;br&gt;
 The 30-day mortality was 2.2% for pr8% for direct PCI referral group (p = 0.661). One-year mortality for the two groups was 2.7% and 3.2%, respectively (p = 0.732). Failed prehospital fibrinolysis was observed in 20.1% of patients receiving this therapy, with male gender and history of heart failure being predictors. For direct PCI referral group, low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) on admission and cardiogenic shock prior to PCI were predictors of both 30-day and one-year mortality. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status, and impaired kidney function on admission, were associated with one-year but not 30-day mortality. Being overweight was associated with lower 30-day mortality. Conclusions Mortality in STEMI patients identified and treated by paramedics was low, and the prehospital fibrinolysis treatment pathway was effective with a mortality rate comparable to that of patients undergoing primary PCI.  Local treatment of liver and/or lung metastases from colorectal cancer (CRC) is increasingly used in daily practice and comprises resection, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT). The need for prognostic markers for patients undergoing such treatment is currently unmet. We investigated post-treatment circulating tumor-specific DNA (ctDNA) analysis and address a possible prognostic value in a pilot study. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;From July 2015 to September 2017, patients undergoing standard of care local treatment of liver and/or lung metastases were included in a prospective translational study.
