Hey Everyone! The main reason is to help everyone who is having difficulties. Today I'll be sharing step by step procedure to apply financial aid on AI for Everyone. So let's get started.

Click on Financial Aid available next to enroll now button.

Click on Continue to the application, Note: by clicking on enroll and starting learning today will not allow you to apply financial aid.

Agree by clicking both options and type I agree to the terms above.

So the actual application for financial aid starts here

Fill out all the required information.

Here you have to write 2 Paragraphs of 150 words each.

Tip: You can calculate words from here: https://wordcounter.net/

Choose No for a low-interest loan question and then explain why you chose no in 4 to 5 lines

After Submitting the application you will receive an email mentioning that they have received your financial aid and it will take 15 days to get approved.

Now you can go to the course and complete all the quizzes to get your certificate.

I've completed AI for Everyone scoring 100% in all quizzes. Best of Luck to everyone. You can verify the certificate here: https://www.coursera.org/account/accomplishments/certificate/4NPZ6295T8QR

Note: Many of you still have the issue that they have been enrolled in the course so what should they do.

 Umm, let me think!!

Yeah. You just have to delete your account. Go to profiles > Delete Account.

And recreate your account but follow the process that I mentioned above. Don't enroll again. If you want to watch the course, Register it with another email account. Simple! and wait for 15 days to get your financial aid approved.

If you still have any queries. You can message me @tahaadotdev
on Instagram. I'll try to help everyone I could.

Happy Coding!!

Installing Python for machine learning in Ubuntu 18.04

Hey Everyone! The main reason is to help those who are having difficulties learning. Today I'll be installing Python on the ubuntu 18.04 LTS version.

Installing Python 3.7 on Ubuntu with
apt
is a relatively straightforward process and will only take a few minutes:

1. Start by updating the packages list and installing the prerequisites:

# sudo apt update
# sudo apt install software-properties-common

2. Next, add the deadsnakes PPA to your sources list:

# sudo add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa

When prompted press
Enter
to continue:

Press [ENTER] to continue or Ctrl-c to cancel adding it.

3. Once the repository is enabled, install Python 3.7 with:

# sudo apt install python3.7

4.At this point, Python 3.7 is installed on your Ubuntu system and ready to be used. You can verify it by typing:

# python3.7 --version

# Python 3.7.3

Installing Python 3.7 on Ubuntu from Source

In this section we’ll show you how to download and compile Python 3.7:

1.First, update the packages list and install the packages necessary to build Python source:

# sudo apt update

# sudo apt install build-essential zlib1g-dev libncurses5-dev libgdbm-dev libnss3-dev libssl-dev libreadline-dev libffi-dev wget

2.Download the latest release’s source code from the Python download page using the following wget command:

# wget https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.7.4/Python-3.7.4.tgz4

3.Once the download is complete, extract the gzipped tarball:

# tar -xf Python-3.7.4.tgz

4.Next, navigate to the Python source directory and run the configure script which will perform a number of checks to make sure all of the dependencies on your system are present:

# cd Python-3.7.4

# ./configure --enable-optimizations

The --enable-optimizations option will optimize the Python binary by running multiple tests. This makes the build process slower.

For faster build time, modify the -j flag according to your processor. If you do not know the number of cores your processor, you can find it by typing
nproc
in terminal. The system used in this guide has 4 cores, so we are using the -j4 flag.

5. Start the Python build process using
make

# make -j 4

6. When the build is done, install the Python binaries by running the following command:

# sudo make altinstall

Do not use the standard make install as it will overwrite the default system python3 binary.

7. That’s it. Python 3.7 has been installed and ready to be used. Verify it by typing:

# python3.7 --version

The output will show the Python version:

# Python 3.7.4

You have installed Python 3.7 on your Ubuntu 18.04 machine and you can start developing your Python 3 project.

Vscode for FrontEnd Devs

Hey Everyone! This is my first blog post as a dev! The main reason is to help those who are having difficulties learning front-end technologies. Visual Studio Code aka vscode is so great that it will make your life easier and sometimes by installing extensions.

List of Extensions:

Live Server: Live server opens your project on localhost and it will help you switch between pages because we add cdn's which will make it slow when reloading the webpage + { you don't need to reload the page, it will automatically show the changes that you have made } );

Live Sass Compiler: Live Sass Compiler is a handy tool which made my project so easy that I just made one index.scss file and did all CSS + SASS on it for 7 to 8 webpages. { Reason for using LSC is the functionalities that SASS have for ex: Nesting, Storing CSS properties in variables as we do in JS, and much more.

Better Comments ( The Better Comments extension will help you create more human-friendly comments in your code.
With this extension, you will be able to categorize your annotations into Alerts, Queries, TODOs, Highlights, and other comment styles to make your comment look good!!

Auto Rename Tag: Auto Rename Tag is a lifesaver when you change the first tag and it will change the second tag automatically.

Highlight Matching Tag: This extension helps you when you in-built tag highlighter is not working!!

Gatito Theme: I'm using this theme for quite a while and it doesn't annoy me when I'm staring at the screen for hours.

Best Settings: AutoSave = ON, Wordwrap = ON + ( Alt + Ctrl ) + Live Server + Live Sass Compiler. You can turn autosave and word wrap on and you'll see the changes + Alt and ctrl will help you switch between pages + live server will help you reload the page automatically and live sass compiler will save the changes with a blink of an eye!!
