I've been working on Super Macro, a Windows desktop application that lets you build and manage keyboard and mouse automation workflows through a graphical interface.

The idea was simple: I wanted a tool where I could define exactly which inputs happen, in what order, and how long to wait between them—without writing a separate script for every workflow.

SuperMacro has now reached v1.4, and I'd love to share what I've built with the DEV community.

 1. Sequential macros with per-step delays

The main editor lets you create an ordered sequence of keyboard or mouse inputs. Each step has its own delay, so you can fine-tune timing rather than using a single fixed interval for everything.

You can choose whether a sequence runs continuously or repeats a specific number of times, and you can set your own start and stop hotkeys.

For example, the screenshot shows a simple
1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5
sequence with different delays for each step.

 2. Periodic keys and a separate hold-to-repeat action

Some tasks need two different kinds of automation at once: a main sequence and a key that runs every few seconds.

SuperMacro supports up to 10 periodic key entries, each with its own interval, independently of the sequential macro.

There's also a Quick Item Pickup option: hold a configured key to repeatedly send another input at a chosen interval. You can optionally pause the main sequence and periodic inputs while the pickup key is held.

 3. Configurable chat macros

I also added a separate chat macro system for repetitive text entry.

You can configure messages, choose manual hotkeys or automatic timing, and optionally use an
Enter → Text → Enter
workflow where appropriate.

The automatic mode runs through configured messages in order and enforces a minimum five-second interval. Each message supports up to 60 characters.

 4. Presets for different workflows

Rather than rebuilding a macro every time, you can create multiple presets and switch between them.

The Preset Manager lets you create, rename, duplicate, delete, search, and reorder presets. It also shows useful information about each preset, including its configured sequences, periodic inputs, and chat macro state.

Presets are saved automatically, making it easier to keep different configurations organized.

 5. Target-program controls and desktop settings

You can configure SuperMacro to run generally or use target-program conditions—for example, only while a selected application is active.

The settings screen also includes:

Dark and light themes

Six interface languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and Vietnamese

Optional launch at Windows startup and startup-to-tray behavior

Always-on-top mode

Built-in update checking

 6. Built-in guidance

I wanted the application to be approachable, so it includes an in-app help page explaining how presets work, how to start and stop macros, and how the different run modes behave.

 Download and try it

Platform: Windows 10/11 (64bit)

Current version: v1.4

Download Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T22_isMZ0ZsSF5aoSCxmsxHIkNsW-FuG/view?usp=sharing

Check the release instructions before downloading, as some release assets may be intended for in-app updates rather than first-time installation.

Please use automation responsibly and follow the rules of the applications or games where you use it.

 I'd love your feedback

This is an ongoing personal software project, and I'm especially interested in hearing from people who use keyboard automation tools.

Does the interface make sense at first glance?

What would make creating and managing presets easier?

Which workflow features would you want to see next?

Thanks for checking out SuperMacro! I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions in the comments.
