Don't Read ! if you are a happy coder.

Not all days are green days, when your days are giving output like 100%. Amid studies, then job and the millions of youtube channels and of course Netflix, it gets difficult, to keep your coding journey continue (excluding the job work). You start doing a project and then stop in a week and then again start after 2 weeks... and sometimes after month, and then we start questioning ourself, criticizing and start sinking deep down.
I want to tell you...

It's alright !

From outside it feels like, only you are not doing enough and rest are like, geeks and nerds typing at the speed of light, solving and tossing the best products in the market. Yeah! it's true. But not for absolutely everyone. Everyone struggles with almost same surroundings and reasons to keep you off goals, unless you are a psychopath and antisocial. But Yes, people find the way out. They solve it to pave their path towards something, a tangible result. You can't feel bad if you keep on repeating the same half cooked cycle.

Remember, it is simple. It's like a ritual. Our mom does prepare food without fail, as a ritual. It takes hours for her. A painter does paint, puts his/her creativity like crazy. Similar should be like us, the developers. It is our ritual. I know , not the best examples, but I hope you get what I'm trying to convey.

It should be like a ritual, keep it continuous. The pace doesn't matter until you keep it going. Discipline is must, first if it is acquired, work on the pace and the commitment(delivery). Discipline doesn't mean do it everyday without fail, It means to be sensible and intelligently aware towards it. Figure out a plan, draft, distribute the work and then work on it.

It is fine, if you feel like "you are not good enough", not everyone could have the absolutely every knowledge. Tech is crazily vast. Take a warrior for example, He can't be adept in all of the weapons. He has to choose his sword and skill, same goes to us. Don't rush into multiple techs. Choose depth over width. If you still feel , you are not good enough, remember hard work outweighs talent.

One more things, Github is good, Jira is good, todo list is fine but nothing can replace pen and journal. Keep a light track of your daily workings. This kind of handwritten stuff gives a different kind of vision and satisfaction altogether.

You know what does a Doctor says when we miss out on our med? Take it as soon as you remember. Follow that. It's never too late. Accept the flaws, realize it but don't settle. work!!

Good luck!!
Happy vibes!!

AI vs ML vs DL vs DS

Ever felt awkward while discussing in the team,... when you say- Yes! we should put some Machine Learning into that, and someone else says ummm, I guess Deep Learning is what it needs. and you node silently?

So what is it? what is the difference among all in the simplest words?

first AI ie Artificial Intelligence
It's not just a way of doing things, it is the umbrella. Remember, Venn diagram? This is the whole universe, your ultimate aim to make your app smart; ie AI enabled. Any machine that could use intelligence and make its own decision similar to our brain is AI enabled.

Machine Learning is a subset of AI like rest of them, it's more of a tool which gives us way to deal with the data, train it through supervised and unsupervised methods. After your machine learns from this data, it can take decision. The data accuracy is the key to the best decision making in your app. for the for example, we can train our machine to spot the difference between 2 species of a bird. Next time, You'll feed a bird's image to the app, based on what it learned, it'll produce the result.

DL ie Deep Learning is again a subset of both and more complex. Its main aim is to mimic brain. It doesn't use labeled or data training but replicate the data processing and patterns creations like we do. It uses various multi neural network architecture.

So What is Data science?

Data Science is an approach/discipline/field of study that deals with manipulation and transforming of data. Like an equal size umbrella. whenever you are crunching, putting mathematics, trying to make a sense out of the data using probability/algebra anything, you are using data science. Its not new like AI/ML, it's been here since forever.Tada!!

This might not be the most accurate and technical explanation. But it'll give a little sense of permanent understanding.

4 Ways to run amplify project from existing Git repo.

Aws-amplify is great to develop and air an application in minutes. However, we end up messing with our application's configuration in a way it doesn't let us push in the cloud. Either we can try fixing the existing app or we could clone it fresh and run it again.

 Option1 : amplify remove "service"

where service could be anything like auth, storage, etc. It will reinstate the backend without that service.

 Option 2: amplify pull

This command will pull the last updated "not messed up" stack of resources in your local :D. But beware! local code might not find the resources which got purged during the amplify pull.

Option 3 : Clone Git your repo

If there is no way out, you might need to clone the repo, when you'll try to run it there might be an error thrown

"aws-export error"

Now, Make a file name aws-exports.js in src dir and copy the existing aws-exports.js from your old running project. Also, remove "// WARNING: DO NOT EDIT. This file is automatically generated by AWS Amplify."
it must be running !!! :D

Option 4 : Clone Git someone else's repo

Here you might not be having the aws-exports.js to copy from, Use following command, it will direct you to the sequential steps to create an IAM user and more.

amplify init --app https://github.com/..repo..

There are a few points we may use as best practices while developing with aws-amplify like the following

* Always use amplify push when a new resource is created.
* Set up the GitHub CI/CD as soon as the project Skelton is set up as if it breaks, it is easier to trace the last messed up commit and rollback.
* Check Package.json often that also messes the build of amplify.

There is a Chat App (Socketio/React/Node) that I'm trying to create. I want to upload it on github. The directory root has two separate folders - Client & Server, while I'm try to upload it, it is saying

"warning: adding embedded git repository: extractor/annotator-server
hint: You've added another git repository inside your current repository."

So, what I'm supposed to do? How to upload my project on github, when it has 2 repos inside?Any hints?

3 Mistakes of My life!- during College Placements

So, how many times do you feel like traveling back in the past and starting 'not from scratch' but at least tiptoeing safely from the mistakes you made.

On a serious note, it just sometimes churns my head for just simple steps that could have made us all winners through our doomsday(the placement days).

First, choosing your niche
Not everyone can own "c/c++/java" as their cup of tea,but there is a whole lot of big world out there where you could not only dip your feet but swim through, like try- web development, cloud engineering, IOT and many more.

Second, Develop something Real
Yeah, I get it they all study like sheeps in heard, everyone asking for Datastructures, linked list, and stuff, and even if after trying, you feel like "you just can't win it..", Drop it! Design your portfolio the way you want. Show the most amazing applications instead, that you designed with all your hands on. You might give them a spark in their eyes, compensating your downfalls.

Third, Never ever underestimate yourself
The job you are getting it's not because of luck, byChance or they are generous or anything you just have to stop feeling that. You might feel like everyone is far superior to you, but you still deserve it. Just you have to find your place to fit in. Might not be as a hardcore "Developer" but start as an "Analyst" or "UI/UX Designer" or "Data scientist". The IT industry is not limited to coding only. Go, find your Niche!

Summary: Always go to the interviews with all your arrows polished in the quiver either as a fresher or an experienced. You can turn the interviewer as an audience where you can display your love of Technologies and display all your masterpieces.
Bitcoins- Explain like I'm 5

Its, not such a new term, but whenever in the parties this discussion came up, I used to feel like

So, Here is the gist what I learnt from various blogs/videos in a most simplified manner. We all want to invest in a way to get high returns, this is said to be one of the risky but worthy options. First, let's know a few things.

What Is A Bitcoin?
Bitcoin comes from the word "bit" smallest unit of data. We’re talking digital money, a form of currency that’s not backed by any raw material like gold or silver. It was released during the financial crisis in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto(said so)

What Is A Bitcoin Wallet?
This is the very first step before you can use bitcoins , This is just like "Paypal/Paytm" wallets; digital form of our leather wallets. It has a unique Bitcoin address that keeps changing per transaction to add on the security.

How To Get Bitcoins?

Get or do Payments in bitcoins rather than conventional currency.

Purchase Bitcoins on Exchanges (yes! there are)

Bitcoin Mining: This is the toughest way to get them, solve complex mathematical problems using highly computable machines like ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) which are designed specifically for bitcoin mining operations. Generally, it takes a whole team to do the mining, after which they divide their share of rewarded bitcoins. WOW!

Price Of 1 Bitcoin Into USD/INR
while I'm writing, it's 1 bitcoin = 9,089.58 $ or 678,432.18 INR.

Drawbacks of Bitcoin
First, Bitcoin fluctuates very high. Also, Bitcoin transactions are highly secured and can't be tracked thus highly used in the black market.

How To Buy or Trade With Bitcoins?
There are many websites that allow you to buy bitcoins in just minutes.

There are many platforms where you can buy or sell bitcoins just like stock markets utilizing the volatility of the market to sell in and out of trades by being sometimes investors, sometime trader.

We upload our projects on GitHub repositories, Won't that be really cool if we can keep them live and running. For this, we generally host our application on Netlify or Heroku and other different platforms. But One of the most hassle-free and free options is "Github pages".

Github pages turns a repository into a working and live project via their username.github.io domain name.

So, you will be getting an instant cook and serve feeling, like when in interviews people ask, can you show any of your work? ;).That's it! You have a plethora of skills and masterpieces at the display to impress.

Let's learn this setup in few steps:

Goto your Github repository's settings.

Scroll down till you find below

select the branch you want to deploy, you'll get a message.

Just click the URL and find your stuff live!

Cheers!

Just few points to be noted.
if in case you are stuck with only 'read.md' file (happened with me once) visible in place of your actual application.

You can switch to the other branch or docs/ folder in the repository settings. With that, we can put the index.html/root under the docs/ folder.

It is happening because Github pages work the way it is supposed to do, it takes the "master" branch as base by default and expects your root/starting point like index.html to be present outside in GitHub tree with read.mds and stuff, if not found, it ll treat "read.md" as default for launching the application.

Axios or Fetch?- in 2 minutes

Ever wondered why developers are going for Axios over fetch? As we are aware both are the means to deal with HTTP or XMLHttp requests, Both are capable of making all types of API calls (get, post,put.. etc.). Both are based on Promise API which is native to ES6. But what are the major points to be noted?

First, .fetch() has a two-steps process while handling JSON data. The first makes the actual request and then the second is to call the .json() method on the response.

const url = 'https://api.spotify.com/v1/artists/0OdUWJ0sBjDrqHygGUXeCF'

fetch(url)
.then(response => response.json())
.then(data => console.log(data));

As a good developer, our main aim is to minimize the code. Axios deals it with a single line.

const url = 'https://api.spotify.com/v1/artists/0OdUWJ0sBjDrqHygGUXeCF'

axios.get(url).then(response => console.log(response));

Second is, Error handling. Logically if .fetch() gets an error it would enter the .catch() block and should return but, it eventually executes the next then() in chain. see below:

But Axios handles it, the way it is expected.

it returns from catch, no more .then() chaining.

So, .fetch() method is a great way of getting HTTP requests native in ES6, but there are just few gotchas, that could be dealt by these third party libraries.
Bootstrap 5 - all in 1 minute

The world’s most popular open-source framework used by developers with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is ready to roll out the new release - Bootstrap 5 anytime soon!
Here are the major changes expected with the new updated version.

No more Jquery
Yes, its 2020 and with so many more advanced substitutes like React, Vue, etc, Jquery is removed.

Responsive font sizes
Bootstrap 5 will enable responsive font sizes by default. Now, it will be easier to resize the typography components according to the user’s viewport through Responsive Font Sizes or RFS engine.

SVG icon library
In bootstrap-3, we had Glyphicons, then they were removed with bootstrap-4, so we had to rely on third parties. Now, it has an inbuilt SVG library called brilliantly by Mark Otto for making it a bit easier.

Card decks removed
Bootstrap-4 had bulky code for cards creation to set equal width and height cards that aren’t attached to one another, Now, we have more of a responsive control with its new grid system.

Switching from Jekyll to Hugo
Bootstrap 5 is switching to Hugo, written in Go language for faster and flexible static site generator, though both have identical features, Go is making it lightning fast. ;)

Changed Gutter width unit of measurement
Bootstrap 5 will have the gutter width be measured using rem instead of px. As Px does not change based on any other element thus not good for modern responsive web design. So rem is the new standard, 1 rem is equal to the font size of the HTML element.

Classes Update
Out of the 1500 something classes from Bootstrap-4, few are removed like form-inline, Card-deck, form-row, and few are added eg, row-cols-auto, g-, gx- (classes control the horizontal/row gutter width), gy-*.

No Support for IE10 or IE11
C'mon, we are in 2020.
