💡 TL;DR: I’m a 14-year-old student who built PRACTAcademy, an open-source community and platform to help international students apply to top U.S. colleges — especially MIT. If you're aiming high and want to prepare smart, join us.

🧠 The Problem I Saw

Many students — especially international ones — dream of studying at MIT, Stanford, or other top U.S. colleges, but most don’t know where to start.

There's too much information, and yet not enough guidance.

I felt that too. While researching the MIT application process, I realized I needed:

A place to learn from others in the same journey
A way to practice real skills and challenges
A community where I could grow and give back

But… that community didn’t exist. So I built it.

PRACTAcademy stands for:
📚 Preparation Academy for College & Tech Admissions

It's a community-driven, open-source platform made to:

Help students understand and prepare for the U.S. college admissions process
Focus on elite institutions like MIT, Caltech, Stanford, and Ivy Leagues
Offer challenges, strategies, and tools to stand out as an international applicant
Create a space for collaboration, peer support, and growth

It's made by students, for students — and it’s just getting started.

🧩 Why Open Source?

Because education should be collaborative.
Because code is powerful.
Because students deserve to build the tools they wish existed.

Anyone can contribute — whether it's by improving a feature, designing a challenge, or mentoring others.

👨‍💻 Who Am I?

I'm Matheus, a 14-year-old student dreaming big and building the future with code.
I’m determined to get into MIT with a full-ride scholarship and plan to major in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Engineering.

I’ve already:

Created viral mutation simulators, remote diagnosis systems, and digital organizers
Participated in multiple hackathons via Hack Club
Built and maintained MITPA — a community for students to achieve their academic and personal goals through code, collaboration, and resilience

I’m always learning, building, and connecting.

As of July 1st, we’re officially launching the Pre-Beta phase of a new open source initiative:
🎓 PRACTAcademy – Preparation Academy for College & Tech Admissions

It’s a community-driven, tech-powered platform to help students — especially international students — prepare for U.S. college admissions, with a strong focus on applying to MIT, the world’s leading university in science and engineering.

And yes — it’s 100% open source from day one. Built by a student, for students.

I’m a high school student who noticed how little accessible, high-quality, open material exists for students aiming for elite colleges — especially outside the U.S.
