  🔒 RSA is Strong... Until It’s Not 🔓
&lt;/h1&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let’s be real &lt;strong&gt;RSA-2048 encryption is everywhere.&lt;/strong&gt; Your &lt;strong&gt;bank transactions, crypto wallets, VPNs, software licenses&lt;/strong&gt;, all rely on it. It’s been the backbone of digital security for decades.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But here’s something &lt;strong&gt;wild&lt;/strong&gt; to think about:  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you wanted to brute force &lt;strong&gt;just one&lt;/strong&gt; RSA-2048 key, you’d have to try &lt;strong&gt;~2²⁰⁴⁸ (that’s 617 digits worth of combinations).&lt;/strong&gt; Even if every &lt;strong&gt;atom in the universe&lt;/strong&gt; was a supercomputer, we wouldn’t finish before the &lt;strong&gt;heat death of the universe.&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;…Unless you have a Quantum Computer.&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;

  🛑 The Quantum Threat
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Right now, &lt;strong&gt;RSA-2048 is secure&lt;/strong&gt;—but &lt;strong&gt;quantum computers will break it.&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Shor’s Algorithm&lt;/strong&gt; will allow quantum machines to factor RSA’s large primes &lt;strong&gt;exponentially faster&lt;/strong&gt; than today’s supercomputers.
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;That means &lt;strong&gt;banking encryption, crypto wallets, and software licenses could be cracked&lt;/strong&gt; once we hit large-enough quantum machines.
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Big players (&lt;strong&gt;Google, NSA, NIST&lt;/strong&gt;) &lt;strong&gt;are already moving to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;
So why not get ahead of it?  &lt;/p&gt;

  🔮 What’s Next?
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I’m working on adding &lt;strong&gt;PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) support&lt;/strong&gt; to this open-source API so it stays secure in a &lt;strong&gt;post-RSA world.&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;/p&gt;
