Many people struggle to sleep because of stress, screens, or constant noise around them. When I looked for an app that could help, most options felt complicated, distracting, or filled with ads. I wanted something simpler. Something peaceful. Something anyone could use instantly.

That single thought led to the creation of Peaceful Night.

Why This App Exists
The idea was very clear. People do not need a long setup process when they are trying to relax. They need something calm, direct, and easy. Peaceful Night was built with that intention.

No ads.
No confusing buttons.
No complicated steps.
Just soft sounds that help your mind slow down.

What Peaceful Night Offers
Peaceful Night includes a collection of relaxing sound themes such as:

• Rain
• Forest
• Ocean waves
• Wind
• Birds
• Fire crackling
• Night ambience
• River flow

Each sound is carefully selected to create a gentle and comfortable listening experience. The app also includes helpful features such as a Favorites list, adjustable volume, Light and Dark themes, and customizable font size. The goal is to let you tap once, listen, and relax.

Early Steps, Steady Growth
Peaceful Night is a new app with a small number of downloads, but every download feels meaningful. Even one person sleeping better because of it makes the effort valuable. I plan to add more themes, better sound controls, and new features based on user feedback.

Try the App
If you want to experience it, you can download it here:

Peaceful Night: Soothing Sounds
👉 Download now on Google play

If you enjoy using it, a rating or short review will help the app reach more people.

Share Your Thoughts
What kind of sound helps you relax the most?
Rain, waves, forest, or something else?
Share it in the comments. I would love to know.

How I Turned My Civil Engineering Notes Into an App That Helps Thousands of Students

I still remember flipping through many number of PDFs during my college, just to find one formula.

That’s when I thought , what if all my notes, converters, and definitions could live inside one app?

The Beginning
Civil engineering students know the struggle — scattered study materials, confusing terms, and endless calculations.

I wanted to make something simple. Something that brings everything a civil student needs into one clean app.

That’s how Civil Notes was born.

The Problem
Every semester felt like a hunt for reliable materials.
PDFs from random websites, offline notes -nothing stayed organized.

And during assignments or exams, switching between websites for meanings, formulas, and unit conversions was just painful.

The Solution
I decided to build an all-in-one learning app not just notes, but a proper civil engineering companion.

That’s what Civil Notes: Engineering Guide aims to do.

Everything, from notes and terms to calculators and converters, now lives in one pocket-sized tool.

Key Features That Make a Difference
As I started developing, I focused on what students really need day-to-day.

Here’s what ended up making it into the app:
📘 Study Materials & Notes

Major civil subjects organized by units

Simple interface for opening PDFs anytime

📚 Glossary of Civil Engineering Terms

Find definitions and technical meanings instantly

Learn concepts without leaving the app

📐 Engineering Converter

Convert values like length, area, pressure, and density

Perfect for classwork, site work, or exam prep

🧮 Civil Calculators

estimations, area, and volume tools — everything for practical use

⚙️ Personalized Experience

Choose between Light or Dark mode

Multiple font styles for easier reading

Behind the Scenes
Building Civil Notes wasn’t just a coding project — it was a bridge between what I studied and what I wanted to give back.

The app is powered by Kotlin and Jet pack Compose

I spent weeks designing a clean interface that felt modern but still academic.

What Happened Next
I didn’t expect much at first — but soon, hundreds of civil engineering students started using Civil Notes daily.

From exam prep to site calculations, the feedback has been incredible.

And now, I’m working on adding new features.

Try It Yourself
If you’re a civil engineering student, give it a try — it might just save you the time I used to waste searching for better quality notes.

👉 Download Civil Notes on Google Play

💬 What’s one feature you wish our civil engineering app had?
(Drop it in the comments — I’d love to hear your thoughts!)

Final Thoughts
Civil engineering is about building the world around us — but to do that well, we first need to build our own foundation of knowledge.

I hope Civil Notes helps someone out there make learning a little smoother, faster, and smarter.

👷‍♂️ — Thoma Varkala
