I have a Raku (programming language) module, Date::Names, that provides a programmatic interface for calendar creation. The user enters a desired language by a two-letter ISO code and creates a 'Date::Name' object that provides the appropriate abbreviation or whole name for calendar days-of-the-week or months.

Currently, the module provides data for 13 languages, and I would love to have more added by native users of the submitted language. It doesn't take too much programming experience, and it's a great way to (1) get an introduction to the Raku language and (2) contribute something useful to the World. See the module and its README at Date::Names. Also see the instructions for CONTRIBUTING.

Note: Raku is Larry Wall's language which was originally realeased as Perl 6, but it was later renamed Raku to avoid confusion. See more about the Raku programming language at Raku.org. We are a kind and welcoming community. Pleas join us interactively at IRC channel #raku.
