Hey DEV community 👋

I’m building Timylabs, a calm productivity app for people who want to focus, plan their day, track habits and build better daily routines without feeling overwhelmed.

Timylabs combines a Pomodoro timer, habit tracker, task planner, focus sessions, productivity analytics, heatmaps and cozy themes in one simple workspace.

I built it because many productivity tools feel either too complex, too rigid, or too focused on “optimizing everything.”

I wanted to create a productivity app that feels calmer — something you can open at the start of your day, start a focus session, organize your tasks, track your habits and understand your progress over time.

 What is Timylabs?

Timylabs is a calm productivity workspace for focus, habits, tasks and daily routines.

It is designed for students, developers, creators, remote workers, solo founders and anyone who wants a simpler way to stay consistent.

Instead of switching between multiple productivity apps, Timylabs brings the most useful parts of a focus app, Pomodoro app, habit tracker and task planner into one cozy environment.

 Why I built Timylabs

I’ve always liked productivity tools, but I often found myself switching between too many apps:

One app for Pomodoro timers.
Another app for habit tracking.
Another app for task planning.
Another app for productivity analytics.
Another app for visual progress tracking.

At some point, the productivity system itself started to feel like extra work.

So I started building Timylabs as a calmer alternative: one focused workspace where you can manage your day, start deep work sessions, build habits and see your progress without clutter.

 Main features

Timylabs currently includes:

Pomodoro timer for focused work sessions

Free timer for flexible deep work

Habit tracker for building daily routines

Task planner for organizing your day

Focus session history to review your work patterns

Productivity heatmaps to visualize consistency

Progress analytics to understand your routines

Cozy themes for a calmer work and study environment

The goal is not to create another complicated productivity system.

The goal is to help people show up consistently.

 Who is Timylabs for?

Timylabs is mainly built for:

Students who need a study timer and habit tracker

Developers who want focused coding sessions

Creators who need a calm workspace for deep work

Remote workers who want to organize tasks and routines

Solo founders who want to stay consistent

Anyone looking for a simple productivity app with Pomodoro, tasks and habits

I wanted Timylabs to feel useful but not stressful.

A productivity app should help you focus — not make you feel guilty for not doing enough.

How Timylabs is different from other productivity apps

Many productivity tools try to become complete operating systems for your life.

Timylabs is intentionally more focused.

It is not trying to replace every note-taking app, calendar app or project management tool.

Instead, Timylabs focuses on a simple daily workflow:

Plan what you want to work on

Start a focus session

Track your habits

Review your progress

Build consistency over time

The idea is to make productivity feel calm, visual and sustainable.

 Use cases

You can use Timylabs as:

A Pomodoro timer for work or study

A focus app for deep work sessions

A habit tracker for daily routines

A task planner for organizing your day

A productivity tracker for visualizing consistency

A cozy workspace for studying, coding or creating

 Why “calm productivity”?

A lot of productivity content is built around pressure: do more, optimize more, track more, improve more.

But consistency often comes from making things feel easier to repeat.

That’s the idea behind calm productivity.

Timylabs is designed to make focus and routines feel less overwhelming, especially for people who want structure without a complicated system.

 What I’d love feedback on

Since this is an early launch, I’d really appreciate feedback from the DEV community.

A few things I’m especially curious about:

Is the landing page clear enough?

Does the product idea make sense immediately?

Would you use this more for work, study, habits, or all of them?

What feature would make you want to come back every day?

Does the “calm productivity” positioning feel useful?

Are there any features you expect from a productivity app like this?

 Try Timylabs

You can check it out here:

I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions and honest feedback.

Thanks for reading 🙌
