in a group text with some friends I explained what my side project was - thought I'd just copy paste here as well.

Helping people remember peoples names

Dump any and all data you want to give it and it will focus on building a network of people that you can then chat with the llm to find or remember

The difference to me from this product and other contact management systems - Is this will track any and all names of people that you wouldnt add yourself. Maybe you only have a first name from a recorded conversation. Try to track and also have some experience where it will try to connect that person to previous record (is it a dupe) etc

I am building on top of opensaas, which handles all the auth, user management stripe integration out of the box. Saves so much time on all that bs that you otherwise implement in every single saas product

Oh and I’m building this open source but also would make $ by running it in the cloud since vast majority will never self host.
Or it will just be a good learning project and portfolio piece.

wasted an hour or so because I didn't set an env var right. Fun!

defeated the dreaded aws iam setup and the S3 file upload functionality is working

i plan to build in the open as much as possible my product which in its current form a tool for remembering peoples names. I plan to leverage llms because I want to get more experienced in that area.

I am using https://opensaas.sh/ for now to build the mvp.

I am at the very earliest stage. I am setting up the file uploads with aws s3. The IAM user setup is as annoying as I remember it several years ago. Can the llm's set this up for me argh.
