This is a submission for Frontend Challenge - June Celebrations, CSS Art: June Celebrations.

 Inspiration

I’m celebrating Rath Yatra, a sacred festival held in Odisha, India where the deities Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra are carried on elaborately decorated wooden chariots. The energy, devotion, and grandeur of this procession are beyond words — and I wanted to capture the spirit of it using pure CSS.

 Demo

Page: https://trishna06.github.io/JuneFrontendChallenge/rath-yatra.html
Github Repo: https://github.com/trishna06/JuneFrontendChallenge

 Journey

I created a minimalist CSS illustration of a chariot (ratha), complete with wheels, canopies, and temple elements. The design is symbolic — focusing on clean shapes, traditional red/yellow color schemes, and a representation of the deities through abstract forms.

Approach:

Used pure CSS gradients, borders, and clip-path for detailing

A spinning animation for wheels

A flag swaying using CSS keyframes for realism

Highlights:

The challenge was designing a temple-style chariot without any images or SVGs

I learned to better manipulate clip-path and transform for geometric patterns

I’m proud of how the cultural essence comes through despite the simplicity

Hey Dev Community! 👩‍💻

I'm excited (and a little nervous! 🙇🏽‍♀️) to share that this is my first blog post ever—and I’m so glad it’s happening here.

 Who Am I?

I'm a passionate developer who loves to build, break, and fix things! 💡
Currently working with technologies like C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server, and exploring the cloud with Azure.

I’ve been learning and growing every day—coding late nights, debugging weird issues, celebrating "it finally works!" moments—and I figured:

Why not start documenting my journey?

 Why I'm Starting to Blog...

Here are a few reasons I'm diving into blogging:

🧠 To solidify my knowledge by writing things down.
🤝 To connect with fellow developers.
📚 To help others who might be facing the same struggles I did.

What You Can Expect From Me

I'll be sharing:

Dev tips & tricks I’ve picked up

Project walk-throughs & lessons learned

Clean code practices & design patterns

Interview prep experiences

Maybe even bugs that taught me something important 😅

Let's Connect! 🌐

Drop a comment, say hi, or share your own first blog experience.

Thanks for reading—and here’s to many more posts to come! 🎉

📝 P.S. If you’ve got any suggestions for topics you'd like me to write about next, I’m all ears!
