  What I Built
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;SOLSTICE://TURING&lt;/strong&gt; is a &lt;em&gt;retro-futuristic terminal puzzle&lt;/em&gt; adventure inspired by the June Solstice theme and the legacy of Alan Turing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The game places players inside a corrupted digital system where an assistant called &lt;strong&gt;A.L.A.N. (Adaptive Logic Analysis Network)&lt;/strong&gt; guides them through a series of restoration challenges. The player's objective is to recover lost system modules, reduce corruption, restore light to the network, and ultimately reconstruct the Turing Archive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The game combines multiple puzzle mechanics inspired by computing fundamentals and Turing's contributions to computer science:&lt;/p&gt;

  Logic Core
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Players repair corrupted digital circuits using logic gates such as:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;AND&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;OR&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;XOR&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;NAND&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;NOR&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;XNOR&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Each level requires selecting the correct gate to restore signal flow.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;
  
  
  Memory Core
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Players must observe binary patterns and reconstruct them after they disappear. As levels progress, sequences become longer and the viewing time decreases, increasing difficulty.&lt;/p&gt;

  Cipher Core
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Inspired by codebreaking and cryptography, players decrypt encoded messages using Caesar ciphers, binary decoding, and Turing-inspired challenges.&lt;/p&gt;

  A.L.A.N. Assistant
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A.L.A.N. acts as the player's guide, providing tutorials, hints, system updates, and Alan Turing archive entries throughout the experience.&lt;/p&gt;

  Solstice Meter &amp;amp; Corruption Level
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The game's progression revolves around two opposing forces:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Solstice Meter → Represents light restoration and system recovery.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Corruption Level → Represents instability and digital decay.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Completing challenges restores light and reduces corruption, directly connecting gameplay to the June Solstice theme of transition from darkness to light.&lt;/p&gt;

  Reconstruction Core
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Once all modules are restored, players unlock the final challenge to secure the Solstice Network, symbolizing the restoration of knowledge and the legacy of one of computing's most influential pioneers.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The project is my interpretation of the June Solstice theme through light restoration, digital recovery, cryptography, memory, and logic.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I began by designing the retro terminal-style interface, prioritizing a minimalist, green-phosphor aesthetic, and then converted the layouts into a working game MVP.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The project was built around modular game systems:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A major focus was creating a consistent retro-computing atmosphere inspired by classic terminals and early computing systems.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anime.js was used extensively to create:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Terminal animations&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Progress transitions&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Restoration effects&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Interactive feedback&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Dynamic UI states&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The game's architecture was designed around progression-based modules, allowing players to unlock subsequent challenges only after completing previous modules.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One of the biggest challenges was integrating multiple puzzle systems while maintaining a consistent gameplay experience.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Google Stitch&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;These tools helped accelerate development, prototyping, debugging, design iteration, and gameplay implementation.&lt;/p&gt;
