      <description>&lt;p&gt;Have been using JSONObjects and JSONArrays along with POJOs and ArraysLists and Hashmaps. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When one can get data from database directly in JSON formats, are Lists and Maps or even POJOs of any use now? &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Talking in context of Web and Mobile Apps where JSON is used predominantly.&lt;/p&gt;
