This is a submission for Frontend Challenge: Office Edition sponsored by Axero, Holistic Webdev: Office Space

 What I Built

I created NovaCorp Intranet, a modern employee portal designed to streamline internal communications and productivity. This responsive web application features:

Dynamic Theme Switching: Smooth dark/light mode transitions with system preference detection

Interactive Dashboard: Company news, upcoming events, and quick resources sections

Employee Spotlight: Team member highlights with hover effects

Responsive Design: Fully functional across all device sizes

Persistent Preferences: Remembers user theme choices via localStorage

 Demo

live site : frontend-challenge-a3xn.vercel.app
source code : https://github.com/urvashi-agrawal-dev/Frontend-Challenge

 Journey

Key Features Implemented
Theme Engine:

CSS variables for consistent theming

Animated transitions between modes

OS-level preference detection

Dashboard Components:

News feed with timestamped entries

Interactive event calendar

Quick-access resource grid

Technical Choices:

Pure CSS (no frameworks) for maximum performance

Semantic HTML5 for accessibility

Mobile-first responsive approach

Challenges Overcome
Theme Persistence: Solved localStorage integration for remembering user preferences

Color Contrast: Carefully tested accessibility in both themes

Performance: Optimized assets and minimized reflows for smooth animations

What I Learned
Advanced CSS variable manipulation

System preference media queries

The importance of reduced motion preferences

How to create intuitive UI patterns for theme switching

License
This project is licensed under the MIT License - feel free to use it as inspiration for your own projects!

📘 CV (Computer Vision) — The Memory Book
CV is like your pre-written diary 📓 — storing memories, visuals, and moments. It holds the data of your world and helps you build thoughts, predictions, or even recognize your favorite dog filter 🐶.

👩‍👧 OpenCV — The Super Mom
She knows everything.

How many kids are in the frame (object detection) 🧒👧
What they’re doing (video processing) 🎥
What they secretly like (filters, color detection) 🎨
And just like every mom, she’s open source… and still tells your dad everything even when you said,

“Please don’t tell papa!” 😩

👴 TensorFlow — The Grandfather
Respected. Predictable. A little strict.
Everyone in the town knows him. He’s the backbone of the family and has seen things (like 500-layer neural networks).
Your dad (Deep Learning 👨) depends on him. And when life gets hard… you go to Dadaji for advice.

🧑‍🎓 SimpleCV — The Curious Student
That’s us — the students, tinkerers, and weekend hackers.
We’re building object detection models like science fair projects 🎓.
We may be open source, but our real power?

Showing off cool stuff we barely understand 😎

👶 Caffe — The Shy Kid
This little one doesn’t like to leave his parents 👩‍👦
But say “Hi 👋” and he instantly recognizes you — face, voice, and all.
A bit old-school, but he responds exactly how you’d expect.
Just… don’t ask him to learn new tricks 😅

🧑‍💻 PyTorch — The Cool Older Sibling
Always there for you, fast, flexible, and helpful.
He gets your vibe.
You need object detection? ✅
Image segmentation? ✅
Confused by something? He explains it in plain English.

He’s the reason you can say:

“Bro, I trained a model in one night.” 🔥

👸 Keras — The Popular Bestie
Sweet. Simple. And everyone loves her.
Backed by a massive squad 💅, she helps you build neural networks without crying into your keyboard.
She’s got your back in every ML project, and makes you look smart on GitHub 😏

🤓 Detectron2 — The Nerdy Genius
You know that one friend who even corrects the teacher?
That’s him.
He detects objects, masks, poses — you name it 🧠
If you’re stuck, he’s the backend magician you secretly rely on during hackathons.

🇺🇸 Kociemba — The Problem Solver President
No one knows how he does it, but…
He solves problems(this library is used for Rubik’s Cubes) faster than you can say “machine learning.”
He’s not flashy, but when you’re in a jam,

He saves the day like a true leader. 🧩💼

🧢 YOLO — The Reckless Genius
You Only Look Once.
That’s it.
One glance and boom — he knows everything.
He’s the YOLO swag guy in your friend circle who says:

“Why overthink? Just detect it all in one go.” 😎💥
