&lt;p&gt;These systems are called ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Studies suggest that up to 75% of resumes are filtered out before a recruiter ever sees them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So even if you're qualified, your resume might never reach a real person.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Common reasons ATS rejects resumes:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Missing keywords&lt;br&gt;
Many ATS systems scan resumes for specific keywords related to the job description.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Poor formatting&lt;br&gt;
Complex layouts, tables, and graphics can confuse ATS systems.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Generic descriptions&lt;br&gt;
Resumes that don't clearly show achievements and impact perform poorly.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lack of measurable results&lt;br&gt;
Recruiters prefer statements that show outcomes rather than responsibilities.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
