This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 1: Touch Grass

  What I Built

🌿 TrailMate AI — Go Outside. AI Will Wait.

TrailMate AI is an outdoor companion designed around one simple idea:

What if an AI product actually wanted you to stop using it?

Most AI applications are designed to keep users on a screen. TrailMate takes the opposite approach.

It gives users simple outdoor missions that encourage them to walk, explore, observe nature, and discover things around them.

For example:

🌳 Find two different trees

🍃 Find three different leaves

🐦 Listen for different outdoor sounds

🔎 Find something you've never noticed before

🌎 Explore your surroundings for 20 minutes

The app tracks outdoor time, completed missions, discoveries, and generates a Touch Grass Score.

The goal is to make the screen the shortest part of the experience.

  🌐 Live Website

The project is deployed using GitHub Pages and can be opened directly in a browser.

  🎥 Demo Flow

The current experience works like this:

text
Open TrailMate
      ↓
Start Adventure
      ↓
Receive an outdoor mission
      ↓
Go outside
      ↓
Start the outdoor timer
      ↓
Complete missions
      ↓
Record discoveries
      ↓
