      <title>Why Most ATS Systems Reject Good Resumes</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Many job seekers believe their resume is strong enough for recruiters, but in reality, most applications are filtered by ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) before a human even sees them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That means even qualified candidates can get rejected because of small resume issues.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Some of the most common ATS problems include:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Poor formatting&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Missing keywords&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Incorrect section structure&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Overdesigned resume templates&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Weak resume optimization&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After researching this problem, I realized many people do not even know whether their resume is ATS-friendly or not.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So I started building a simple ATS Resume Checker to help job seekers better understand how their CV performs in ATS-based screening.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The tool helps users:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;✔ Analyze resume structure&lt;br&gt;
✔ Identify optimization issues&lt;br&gt;
✔ Improve ATS compatibility&lt;br&gt;
✔ Understand resume scoring basics&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The goal is not to replace recruiters or guarantee interviews, but to help candidates improve the technical quality of their resumes before applying.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;One important thing I learned during development is that ATS optimization is not only about design — it is mostly about clarity, structure, and relevance to the job description.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A few simple improvements can make a significant difference.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Some quick ATS resume tips&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Use simple formatting&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Avoid complex graphics, tables, and excessive styling.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Match keywords naturally&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Use relevant terms from the job description instead of keyword stuffing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Keep section titles standard&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Use headings like&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Skills&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Education&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;p&gt;instead of creative alternatives.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Focus on readability&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A clean and structured resume performs better in most ATS systems.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I’m still improving the project and experimenting with better optimization methods, but the current version already provides useful insights for job seekers.&lt;/p&gt;
