Because I come from an extended Indian family, I have numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, and second cousins. The list just keeps going. And like most Indian kids, it was almost a duty, usually assigned by parents, to wish every single one of them.

“Rishi, did you wish Rita aunty on her birthday?”
Oops, I hadn’t.
“Rishi, did you wish Shekhar on their anniversary?”
Honestly, the last thing on my mind.

Another thing I realized was that I never really knew what to write. The best I could come up with was something like, “Hey, have a good one. Cheers.”

Then with the advent of AI, it struck me that both these problems could be solved in one shot with a mobile app. And that led to the creation of WishDay.

The core idea is simple. WishDay reminds you of birthdays, anniversaries, or any occasion you want to add, and creates a greeting based on your preferences for tone, length, emojis, and more. If the message doesn’t feel right, you can quickly adjust it, or proofread and polish it if you decide to edit.

You can then share these greetings on platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, or iMessage.

Anyway, that’s the story of WishDay. Hope you enjoy using it, and more importantly, hope it helps you avoid the embarrassment of forgetting your brother’s anniversary or the awkwardness of sending just “HBD” to a friend.

Feel free to try WishDay at https://wishday.app/get

All new users get 6 months completely free!
