Hello there, fellow developers, content architects, and aspiring technical writers. I represent Writerstable.in, a free resource to learn everything about technical writing.

 About me

I have over 20 years of professional experience as a technical writer. I have worked in several industries, geographies, and domains. User guides, troubleshooting guides, and API documentation are a few of the many documentation types I have created.

Aside from documentation, I enjoy helping others learn technical writing and bust myths and misunderstandings about it. For example, it is a common misunderstanding that technical writing degrees (technical communication) and technical writing certifications are a must to become a technical writer. Several trainers push courses and certification down aspiring technical writers' throats. This is absolutely a myth. While a certification, course, or even a degree does give you an advantage, it is not a barrier to entry.

 About Writerstable.in

Writerstable.in started incubating in my mind due to questions on Reddit and Quora about technical writing. I realized that there were several people eager to learn technical writing. I started answering those questions, and soon I started collecting the most frequently asked questions and built a full post around them. This translated eventually into my article Technical Writing Career FAQs for Beginners.

The more I saw, the more I wrote. I hope to continue writing. I think that technical writing is an amazing career to pursue, especially if you enjoy simplifying complexity.

 Why am I here?

This is just an introductory post, I don't intend to toot my own horn using posts. I am here to connect with developers who are curious about product documentation. I work closely with developers in my regular job, and I know how they struggle with creating Readmes, defining error messages, designing alerts, and anything else documentation-related.

Ask me anything you'd like to know, and I will do my best to answer. No fluff, only matter.

 Learn more about technical writing

I will continue writing about technical writing here so you can read all about it quickly. However, if you're curious to know more about technical writing in general, or want to explore Writerstable.in, here are a few articles you must check out:

DDLC in technical writing

Technical writing portfolio

Creating effective documentation
