This is a submission for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge: Frontend Art

StudyMood: A Frontend Experience for Focus and Balance

 Show us your Art

🔗 Live Application: https://study-mood.vercel.app
🔗 Portfolio: https://yomnachelly.github.io/yomna.github.io/

StudyMood is a Pomodoro-based productivity web application designed to help users stay focused, organized, and balanced during their study sessions.

The interface is clean, minimal, and distraction-free, allowing users to fully concentrate on their tasks while managing their time efficiently.

In addition to this project, I also built my personal portfolio using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on simplicity, responsiveness, and clear presentation of my work. It reflects my frontend fundamentals and my ability to design user-friendly interfaces.

 Inspiration

The inspiration behind StudyMood comes from a simple idea:

👉 staying productive is not just about working more, but working better.

As a student and developer, I often struggled with focus and time management. I wanted to create a tool that is not only functional, but also visually calming and motivating.

The goal was to design an experience that:

reduces distractions

encourages consistency

promotes a healthy study rhythm

Through this project, I also wanted to express how frontend development can be used to create meaningful and helpful user experiences.

 My Code

🔗 GitHub Repository: https://github.com/yomnachelly/StudyMood.git

 Technical Stack

Frontend: Angular

Backend: Supabase

Deployment: Vercel

Portfolio: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Tools: Git & GitHub

This project focuses on frontend design, usability, and smooth interaction. While some backend features are still being improved, the main goal was to build a complete and user-friendly interface.

💡 This project represents my transition from learning concepts to building real, usable applications.

This is a submission for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge: Echoes of Experience

From Learning to Building: My Journey as a Young Developer

When I first started learning programming, everything felt confusing. There were too many technologies, too many tutorials, and honestly… too many doubts.

I often asked myself: Am I really capable of becoming a developer?

But instead of stopping, I decided to keep going step by step.

 My First Real Progress

Things started to change when I began working on real projects instead of just watching tutorials. I built different applications such as:

a forum

a hospital management system

a leave management platform

Each project taught me something new — not only about coding, but also about patience, problem-solving, and discipline.

 Challenges I Faced

One of the hardest parts of my journey was not technical… it was mental.

Sometimes I felt overwhelmed:

too many errors

things not working without clear reasons

comparing myself to others

But I learned something important:
👉 Progress in tech is not about being perfect, it's about not giving up.

 My Latest Project: StudyMood

Recently, I built a Pomodoro productivity web app called StudyMood.

🔗 *Live app: https://study-mood.vercel.app
🔗 My portfolio: https://yomnachelly.github.io/yomna.github.io/
*
This project includes:

a clean and simple UI built with Angular

integration with Supabase

deployment using Vercel

Even if the backend still needs improvements, I’m proud of the frontend and the user experience I created.

This project represents something important to me:
👉 moving from learning… to actually building.

 What I Learned

Through my journey, I understood that:

consistency is more important than talent

making mistakes is part of learning

building real projects is the fastest way to improve

 A Message to Others

If you are just starting in tech, especially if you feel lost or not confident:

You are not alone.

Everyone struggles at the beginning. What makes the difference is continuing even when things are hard.

Start small. Build something simple. Then improve it.

 What’s Next?

I’m currently learning more about DevOps and cloud technologies, and I want to keep improving my skills to build even better applications.

This is just the beginning of my journey 🚀

This is a submission for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge: Echoes of Experience

OpenAI Article

I recently shared an important shift in our project: moving from Ollama (LLaMA 3) to OpenAI.

At first, we were excited to work with a local model. But over time, we realized that another approach could be more efficient and better suited for our needs.

So we made the switch — and it changed a lot in how we build and think about our AI features.

This is part of a bigger journey, and the story is still ongoing.

You can read more about it here:

More insights coming soon, stay tuned.

My First Experience with JWT

It all started with Spring Boot, where I tried to understand authentication from scratch. Now, I’m working with FastAPI and seeing the differences in practice, not just theory.

This journey taught me a lot — not only about how JWT works, but also about the challenges you face when implementing it for real projects.

This is just the beginning. There’s still a lot to learn, improve, and explore.

You can read the full story here:

More coming soon.
