From ₹0 to First Comment on IndieHackers — Building AI SaaS for India

Building something alone in India is tough. No funding, no co-founder, no audience. Just you, your laptop, and a stubborn belief that it'll work.

Two weeks ago I launched VoiceAI Studio TTS and RevenueSystem at voiceaisaas.fun — both built targeting Indian developers and creators who need affordable AI tools.

The IndieHackers Thread That Changed Things

I shared my journey on IndieHackers — "Still No Paying Users, So I'm Doing Something Different" — and the response surprised me. People actually read it. One comment gave me more motivation than any analytics dashboard could.

Check the thread here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/still-no-paying-users-so-im-doing-something-different-2f5bf557b8

 What I Built

Product

Starting Price (₹)

VoiceAI Studio — TTS with Indian language support

₹249/100 credits

RevenueSystem — AI Writer, Code Assistant, Resume Builder

₹49 (Resume) to ₹199 (Writer)

Why INR Pricing + UPI Matters

Every other AI SaaS prices in USD. For an Indian solo dev or freelancer, $20/mo is ₹1,700. That's steep. So I priced everything in ₹ and accepted UPI directly.

UPI ID: yog-1496@ptaxis

No international fees. No forex markup. Pay from any Indian UPI app and get access instantly.

 Real Talk: ₹0 Revenue

I'll be honest — still ₹0 in revenue. But you know what changed? The IH comment. Someone out there read my story and related to it. That counts for something.

The solo-dev game is lonely. Getting a single comment on IndieHackers felt bigger than any "build in public" vanity metric.

 What's Next

Keep improving VoiceAI Studio's Indian language TTS quality

Add more tools to RevenueSystem

Get that first ₹1 (and then ₹100, and then ₹10,000)

Keep posting on IndieHackers and dev.to — consistency > perfection

If you're an Indian dev building something, drop by voiceaisaas.fun and let me know what you think. Or just read the IH thread — it's honest and maybe you'll relate.

UPI: yog-1496@ptaxis — yes, I'm putting it everywhere. Make it easy for people to pay you.

Built in India 🇮🇳 — No funding, no BS, just code.

Building AI SaaS for India: A Solo Dev Journey from ₹0

I built two AI SaaS products targeting the Indian market with INR pricing and UPI payments. Here's what happened so far.

 The Products

VoiceAI Studio — Text-to-speech service with Indian language support
RevenueSystem — AI content writer, code assistant, prompt generator, resume builder

 Pricing (₹ INR)

Product

Price

VoiceAI Studio

₹249/100cr, ₹999/500cr, ₹1499/1000cr

AI Content Writer

₹199

Code Assistant

₹149

Prompt Generator

₹99

Resume Builder

₹49

Business Name Generator

₹79

UPI: yog-1496@ptaxis## Current Reality

Revenue: ₹0

Users: 0

Time invested: Days of building + infrastructure

Distribution: Trying everything

 What I Did for Distribution

Set up a permanent URL: https://voiceaisaas.fun

SEO blog posts for Indian SaaS keywords

Automated lead generation (13k+ leads)

Posting on IndieHackers, dev.to, everywhere possible

 Tech Stack

Backend: Flask (Python)

Payments: Razorpay + UPI

Tunnel: Cloudflare Tunnel

Domain: voiceaisaas.fun (Hostinger)

Automation: Playwright, PowerShell scripts

 Lessons So Far

Building the product is 20% of the work. Distribution is the other 80%. Without an existing audience, every new user is a hard-won victory.

I'll keep updating this thread as things progress. Feedback welcome!

Built in India, for India. 🇮🇳
