For a long time, creating floor plans mostly meant using drag-and-drop tools.

You open a canvas, manually place desks, adjust spacing, resize furniture, and spend quite a bit of time tweaking details. These tools are powerful, but if you are not an architect or designer, they can sometimes feel overwhelming for simple planning tasks.

We noticed this especially when looking at classroom layouts.

In many cases, people are not trying to create a technically perfect architectural drawing. They simply want to explore ideas:

How should desks be arranged?
What layout works best for collaboration?
How would a U-shape classroom look?
What if we need a computer lab or training room setup?

Most people just want inspiration quickly.

That idea led us to build Floor Plan Maker — an AI-powered tool designed to make layout creation feel much faster and easier.

Instead of starting with a blank canvas and manually dragging everything into place, we wanted users to begin with an idea and immediately see possibilities.

Why We Added a Classroom Plan Maker

One thing we learned while building this is that people visualize spaces differently.

Some users only want a simple blueprint to understand room structure.

Others want something more visual to better imagine how a classroom might actually feel.

Because of that, we added multiple output styles instead of limiting everything to a single format.

Users can currently generate:

Blueprint layouts
2.5D visual layouts
Full 3D-style room visualization

Sometimes a blueprint is enough for planning. Other times, seeing a more realistic perspective helps people make decisions faster.

We wanted users to have options depending on what stage of planning they are in.

This classroom plan maker is just one experiment inside Floor Plan Maker.

We are continuing to explore other layout scenarios and ways AI can help people go from idea → visual concept faster, without needing professional design experience.
