There is no backend. The site is a static export on a CDN and every tool runs in the browser — pdf-lib and pdf.js for documents, Canvas and the File API for images, Web Workers for anything slow. It works with the network disconnected, which is the simplest way to check the claim.

Trade-offs, since they are real: first load is heavier than a server-rendered equivalent because the processing code ships to the client. Mobile Lighthouse performance is 67, mostly blocking time from the framework. Large files are limited by the device's memory. Complex Office layouts convert approximately, not perfectly.

The CSP allows no external host in any directive, so the page cannot contact anything even if a dependency tried. A build step drives a headless browser across the site and fails if any request leaves the origin.
