I've been self-employed/consulting full-time for 10+ of those years now, and I discovered first-hand the dangers of "falling behind" on the latest best practices, patterns, and anti-patterns in dev. I've spent the last couple of years working on getting caught up while keeping my clients happy, and now I'm live streaming the code projects that keep me learning and interested on Twitch.
I've been a DEV lurker for a little while now, and I'm excited to jump into the community with both feet and starting publishing some of my learnin's here, as well.
