My greatest fear regarding "Jamstack" terminology in 2021 is exactly what you describe: that it becomes so diluted that it's almost impossible to pin down. Or alternatively that it ends up describing a mere handful of JavaScript-only frameworks requiring specialized hosting solutions (of which I have no personal interest in using).

To me Jamstack has always and will always mean one thing: start with static markup & minimalist frontend, commit it to a repository, and build the site at deploy-time—not runtime. Post-load client-server interactivity is then something you can gradually feather in as requirements demand it.
