I enjoy solving coding problems and am optimistic about code's ability to support solutions to larger problems.
Unhealthy work environments, gendered harassment, gendered discrimination, and being the only not-man on the developer team. I've had many past tech jobs; they've ranged from great to quite bad on these issues.
I am completely out as non-binary at work and many of my coworkers are improving at using my correct (they/them) pronouns!
Give us space to contribute, then listen to us! Be thoughtful about how you are perceiving and treating us -- it takes reflection to overcome how most of us have been socialized to see and interact with women and femme people. Be respectful of non-binary people being non-binary and avoid gendering them in ways they don't want with your words or actions.
