What do you want to let go in 2020?

A new year is a good opportunity to tidy up at our digital lives.

If something doesn't spark joy anymore, let it go.

For example, I don't enjoy doing "social" media. I just deleted all my tweets with https://tweetdelete.net/ and found myself instantly more calm.

Is there something that doesn't serve you anymore?

Speaking of deleting tweets, it was quite painful to get a working open-source twitter deleting script.
By the time I got one working, I never actually ran it to clear out my old tweets.

I wish I was better at Twitter.

Also, the other thing I guess I could do is stop being so Jelly.

My goal since December 2019 has been to remove all social media apps from my phone and only access them in the browser.

This was made easier by the fact that I got a new mobile phone in December so I saw this as an opportunity to "start fresh" :D

Although this doesn't seem like a "life-changing" thing, I feel I am able to focus more on personal growth and peace of mind rather than constantly be seeing what other people are up to and comparing myself to them

@boncheff I actually think that getting rid at least partially of social media appps that distract you all the time is a life changing thing

It's not that easy though, so good luck!

This year, I'm going to stop using Quora.

Unlike Instagram or other seemingly pointless social media, this platform is full of interesting stories and information written by ordinary people. Because I got easily distracted by their daily posts, I'm having a hard time to focus on learning to code.

Since I'm not prepared to delete my account, I'd just deactivate it and come back when I accomplished my goals.
