We all know that the touch screen is today at the forefront of device management and control. Although there are still some groups reluctant to use touch devices, the reality is that it is the trend to follow. Well, in the midst of the eruption of the touch world, an Israeli company has shown once again that the world of technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and has already launched a proposal that may, in the future, perhaps not too distant, advance to touch control and be placed in first place.

The Israeli company, eyeSight Technologies , has presented a system thanks to which we will be able to control our device through movements and gestures and that is also compatible with the vast majority of existing platforms.
Many of us might think that it is not a new technology since, for example, Xbox and PlayStation have been using gesture control for a long time. But these platforms need the help of physical devices (Hardware) to make gesture control possible, such as Kinect and PlayStation Move, respectively. This is where eyeSight makes a difference, offering full control of the device without any external hardware.
Webcam with eyesight
EyeSight will only need your built-in camera or webcam to perform motion detection and gesture recognition. All thanks to the fact that it is a 100 percent software-based service. Nothing else will be necessary (no external devices, no touch support...). It is also important to note that it is compatible with all devices compatible with Windows, Linux and iOS.
At the moment the software is intended for developers and device manufacturers who will have the possibility to incorporate the software into their products. Until now, the possibility of launching the software as a final product for users has not been considered, so we will have to forget about using eyeSight as an application on our device.
It is true that this new way of controlling our device is fresh out of the oven and that it will need a process of development and improvement to improve and consolidate. I think that sounds awesome, but what if you make an accidental gesture. Eventually that would get frustrating.
