Thanks, another very good question. I think it shares some of the same downsides as the other biometric authentication mechanisms, like Face ID or a fingerprint. If you wear a mask, Face ID stops working. Same for fingerprinting if you have wet fingers.
So typing biometrics would suffer if you injure your hands or your fingers. I think the mobile ones would need to be re-done if you changed the size of your phone when you got a new one as well.
