I liked doing this interview as it is "real world data" about being a woman. For me the most shocking part was her colleague asking for a "proper engineer".
It reminded me of the old Formal Logic teacher I had in university. She was in her late 60s or early 70s and there was a common rumor that she fails women more often as "women are worse at logic than men". The guys on the other hand were kinda telling each other what kind of perfume she prefers and what kind of personality you needed to take on to pass her oral exam.
And of course I am not sure until this day that it was my classmates' sexism, accusing her of these or was the teacher this level sexist and it was just hard earned knowledge.
