Hey guys, I've just finished my latest project Lensflare.
You can find it at https://lensflare.cf

Lensflare is a site like Unsplash, an image-sharing website.
Lensflare allows you to upload GIFs, SVGs, and any other image you want. You can even communicate with others.

I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Please offer some feedback in the comments.

If you like it, please help me by upvoting this post on Hacker News

and if you want, give my project a quick tweet.

Thanks for reading.
Happy Coding.

Looks good!

Found a few issues:

Scrolling is broken for me on the front page - I can use the browser's scroll bar but not the mouse wheel so I suspect there's something funny going on with overlaid elements. This is in Firefox/desktop, I didn't try in anything else.

I don't understand how to use this site. If I search for something, and there are any results, I can click to expand it (a little). At that point, there's a green link icon in the top left. If I click the image, it changes to a tick. I'm stuck. I have no idea what to do from there. If I close the image and open it again, it's no longer ticked, so I assume whatever "selected" state this is in is broken.

There's no way to close the details view except to go "back" in the browser. In a regular page this'd be fine, but this is simulating a popup, and there's no way to "close" it.

"Discover" in the menu seems to change the site's background image, but doesn't do anything else. Is it supposed to, or is it the default landing page anyway?

The menu items don't match their paths - I know this is small, but "discover" goes to "Browse" and "register" goes to "signup", and if these matched it'd look better.

There are a number of accessibility concerns such as focus indicators being missing when you tab around using the keyboard, no label for the search input field and so on.

And as a visitor I immediately have a few questions:

What are the benefits of logging in? Why would I want to register?

How do you propose to deal with copyright contesting?
