Wow okay lot to unpack here. Pollen is absolutely not a framework, that’s the whole point. The point of the article is that you don’t need a framework like Tailwind, and if you don’t want the ‘design tokens’ in pollen, based on tailwinds own tokens, then don’t use it, write your own bunch of variables to bring consistency to CSS in a way that doesn’t require a whole new styling paradigm with its own issues.
This isn’t a framework v framework thing, it’s a critique of some of tailwinds implementation choices, and an example of what can be done without them. I literally end the article saying you probably don’t need either of them 🤷🏻♀️
