Having a young family, I definitely find remote work, ideal. I have a great set up at home with a separate room that I work from with all the equipment I need. There’s really no need for me to go into the office. And I can enjoy more time with my family.
My last 2 gigs were remote/WFH and personally, I loved it and found myself way more productive. Most likely because I was in my comfort zone but I found myself realizing I"d worked way past my first break and sometimes into my lunch before I even noticed I was needing to take a break, same with last break and even quitting time. I just wasn't watching the clock or looking for reasons to getup and move around, was just focused on doing what I was doing.
I work a remote job with the option to go in whenever I want. I go in on Fridays just to get out of the house.....Sometimes I am the only one in the office 😆. This is my first tech job(Data Analytic Support Associate) so I have nothing to compare it to....I can't help but wonder if I would grow at a faster rate if I was in person with my team.
I'd like to share my thoughts on this:
I like the hybrid model. 3 in office and 2 at home. I get the work life balance.
