I have one of the earliest Acer Chromebook C710 with Intel Celeron running latest Debian with KDE on it. I just added 16 Gb of memory and new 1Gb SSD. I think I got refurbished some time in 2013. I replaced the battery twice but it's still running strong.
Nice! Does yours have user-upgradeable RAM + Storage? I think for mine I'd have to learn soldering and I don't feel like doing that (yet).
