The Unfit Dev is a new podcast that I'm starting focused around developers and entrepreneurs and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's a cliche that developers are an unhealthy bunch. Drinking soda, eating chips, staying up all night doing long development sessions. But there is some, if not a lot, of truth to this. It's funny, as I write this I just finished up a bag of chips and am sipping on a coke. So I am no exception to this. I am not some fitness expert or a gym junkie. I am The Unfit Dev. I plan on having conversations with developers and how they maintain healthy lifestyles and also interviewing nutritionalists and personal trainers to get simple and practical tips.
Because I want to change. I'm starting this podcast for purely selfish reasons. I'm hoping that this will hold me accountable and help me get better at eating healthy, working out and getting more sleep. And also I want to talk to developers and find out what they do to stay healthy and just have a conversation about software development, life, hobbies etc. I want to learn the best ways to stay motivated and on track with creating healthy habits. My hope is that other people will find all this helpful and encourage them to make a change in lifestyle or just find our conversations entertaining.
