The article is about Developer Experience so it is normal if some comments are not constructive. Ruby is an example, it is not better and it is not the goal.

I wouldn't focus on the language or on a single library/tool but on the lack of quality standards on the day to day development:

"Demand higher standards. (Heck, demand standards at all! "

All I can say is that I don't know JS and I don't want to know.

However, a series of articles with examples of code and the mess that they keep creating would help more, so that could be a next step maybe without mentioning the library/tool cause that's not the point.
