Detect keyup pressed in terminal
Pierre Bouillon Jan 09, 2018
Hey everyone !
Lately I had plenty of things to do and found myself with a lot, too much, post-it on my screen.
That's why I decided to write my own TODO list manager, in Python please.
So far everything is fine. I wrote a little CLI to manage this but I would love to improve it with a little history. The problem is that I don't know how to do it. How can I catch keyup and keydown before it's writing things such as
^[[A and in a pythonic way?
Storing and keeping the history up to date with a limited storage is not the problem, but findind a way to correctly use it is.. I saw a post about a package named
keyboard for Python but it seems that he needs root on Linux.
Thank for your help !
