Are you interested to learn a new effective way to deploy Rails app with a database on the cloud? Actually, it can be pretty easy:

  • Install Qovery CLI
brew tap Qovery/qovery-cli ; brew install qovery-cli
  • Sign Up & Authenticate with Github: qovery auth
  • Bootstrap a basic Rails app structure: qovery init -t rails-postgresql
  • Push a new repository to your Github:
cd rails-postgresql
git remote add origin https://github.com/${YOUR_USERNAME}/${YOUR_REPOSITORY_NAME}.git
git push origin master

That's it, done! A basic Rails app and PostgreSQL database are being deployed to the cloud. Qovery runs your apps on scalable Kubernetes clusters. Databases are managed by major cloud providers.

To get your application URL and status run qovery status.

Do you think it's simple enough? I'd highly appreciate your feedback
developers!

If you want to learn more, you can check Qovery documentation or join the Discord server.

Have a great day :)
