I'm getting at least two or three job offers a week, and also I'm applying to some companies I find interesting.
I'm a full-stack .net developer with more than twenty years of experience, and I will fail any "algorithms" technical interview, also, for the last three years I been working with Xamarin, so, it's tough to full fill any requirements list like:
- Any Js frontend framework
Meanwhile, I developed in a month a pet project to track wine events with a rest API backend using asp.net core, an admin dashboard using blazor to create/edit the content, and a mobile client app using Xamarin for the final users.
I was using entirely new technologies for me in the backend and the admin dashboard, and I have a lot to learn, but I think I accomplished a lot in such a short time.
So, why I'm ranting here?
The recruiters will dismiss my CV because I don't have X years using a specific technology.
The technical interviewers would say I'm not good enough because I don't want to do their puzzle exercise nor know what's the 7th parameter used in that obscure class.
Meanwhile, I'm still delivering value every single day.
