As a newcomer to the programming environment, I find it challenging to not feel impostor syndrome. At what point do you feel solid in telling people you're a programmer? For the last near-decade I've been a designer and marketer. And while I'm still using those skills, I'm making this big shift of career focus towards dev. It's interesting, because as I traverse about the internet I see people proclaiming to be programmers who've just passed their first course in html 101.
Perhaps it's a personal thing, to feel unsure. Maybe once I launch a legit app, or master encryption, or get hired with a matching title, or speak-the-speak, or whatever. This is such a deep and vast industry that it feels like at any moment someone could pop up from the depths and ask you about a WagernotJS 2.1 and make you feel a complete fool.
Anyone else out there feeling the same?
