Gutenberg is a static site generator. When I first set out to build this design of mine, I began with Hugo. A ways into it I realized Hugo had way too many options for things I just didn't need. So at a recommendation, dove into Gutenberg and found it to be the perfect fit. Gutenberg is useful without being overly complicated. It is a great place for green developers to get introduced to static-site generators. It is flexible, easy to understand, and makes it super easy to get started with a blank slate. Among other things, it has the ability to process images to whatever size you need which became brilliantly helpful in this build.
Overview of build:
- Design and written content by me
- Photos and illustrations sourced from various places as this project is meant for practice and portfolio building rather than publishing.
