I'm glad you enjoyed That Conference. I've been going to That in Wisconsin semi-regularly for the last 10 years and love it. I try not to compare other conferences to it, because I feel it is unique, for many of the reasons you highlighted, most notably meeting other people in tech. I'd love to make it to That in Texas one day.
Have you?! That's amazing! I can't make it to Wisconsin this year but will definitely be at Texas again next year, and Wisconsin if I can swing it.
I've not been to other tech conferences yet but I'll do my best not to compare THAT to them. I get the feeling THAT is special in the tech space, but that is part of what makes it so great.
Hopefully I'll get to see you at THAT one day!
