You got one of three right. User experience suffers with web technologies compared to native apps which are much faster, safer and more reliable. JavaScript is one of the least scalable platforms ever created and Node gets crushed under lots of users as it has to start a new process for every simultaneous request. But it is easy to develop for web (as long as you have a consistent set of requirements and platforms to work on and stuff...).

There are many use cases and few better options to reach the desired target easier or on a better way regarding to the future
