Thanks Sujan for the wonderful theme.
That looks quite nice on CodeSandBox (CSB) as well (CSB supports VS Code themes as it uses Monaco editor).
Oh, I did not know this! Thanks for the screenshot, Kim! :)
You're welcome there Sujan.
Here is a shameless plug on how to apply VS code theme on CodeSandBox.
Why would one ever use red color? Red is associated with errors, it's meant to grab your attention to something extraordinary, something wrong... and there you use it for html tags and keywords... this is wrong on so many levels...
It is all about context— sure, red is used for errors, but doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be used elsewhere right?
I have used it for HTML tags because markup tends to be extremely densely interspersed with content, and you need to quickly check where the opening and its matching ending tag is. In this scenario, red offers excellent contrast, considering surrounding colours.
Probably more blue, green and yellow and definitely orange or dark orange or even purple instead of red... anything but red unless it's an error.. But hey, we're talking about personal taste here, so the choice is yours and so is the theme...
Just my .02c
I was thinking about personal preference too, and it does still apply. But I can see the color possibly interfering with seeing lint error markings.

What's the font name?
It’s a custom monospace font I made myself, will publish it in a couple of weeks. :)
Looks very nice! I guess it only supports Latin? What about line space? Is this how you configured it in VSCode or it's just the font itself?
Thank you! And, yes, right now only Latin. And if you mean line-height, i have—
"editor.fontSize" : 11,
"editor.lineHeight" : 21
as my preferences. Makes it quite roomy and legible.
Please add coder ligatures to it :)
Ah, I've given it some serious thought in the past, and in fact did try it out for a bit— but have decided against it...I think that while code ligatures are nice to look at, but they are little more than eye candy... It takes a split second for the eye to see the combined forms and mentally break them down into their component glyphs, not something I'd advocate. I'm firmly planted in the syntax purity camp, at least for now. :)
Looks and feels just nice! I'll try this one Sujan! Great job!
I like it! I'll have to put this in the rotation :)
As a user of Material Theme for 2 years, this is a refreshing change - well done! Giving it a test run, excited to see your Dark version, too.
This is pretty awesome. One of the few dark themes I really really like. Almost got me off One Dark. 👍
Ha! There’s a Code Black in the works now. Maybe that will get you off One Dark! :)
Looking forward to test that out. :)
Hi Sujan! I love your Code Blue. Any updates on Code Black?
