Very inspiring words Danny! Thank you so much for sharing.

I love reading through these kinds of general, feel-good, or proud takes on people's successful journeys into the tech industry, but, as much as junior engineers like you, I, and your friend don't need to obsessively compare ourselves to one another, it does help to know what COULD or DID work.

I'd love to hear what specific steps you took to get where you are, people or groups around that lifted you up along the way, personal characteristics or skills that allowed you to shine brighter than others fighting to get into the industry, and failures you experienced along the way. Our paths are all different, in some way or another, I believe that celebrating or mourning what happened along the way will help our global community grow and mature. It'd be great to hear more about your journey.

I do speeches on that. This was just my first article. Just wrote my second about giving a talk to a room full of prisoners learning to code.

I will write about how I made my transition to tech since it is a popular talk I give. I am obsessed with trying to help motivate developers and keep growing. Also I am not a Jr. Dev anymore but I was at one time.

I didn't think people would like my articles instead of me speaking to them so this was just a test but people liked it! So I will be writing a lot more real soon. If you want to read the prison story, it is there as well.
