Suggestions for JavaScript libraries

vineet192 profile image Vineet Kalghatgi ・1 min read

I head the Web Development club at my university and for this year, we've thought of letting students experiment and use interesting and fun JavaScript libraries. So I am trying to compile a list of such libraries.

The idea is once they learn the basics of html, css and JavaScript, they get to apply these cool js libraries to their static site and hopefully learn to love web development.

For instance, the following library
https://www.npmjs.com/package/typewriter-effect
can be set up very easily and is also pretty easy to use, given its documentation. It gives instant results which beginners would find very encouraging.

So if you know or have heard of such JavaScript libraries that are easy to set up and use, and would be interesting to beginners, I would love it if you would share it with me.

Thank you.

I love a good library as much as the next person, but I think this question is "putting the cart before the horse". Libraries are for helping to solve problems or implement some functionality — so you first need to ask, what problems would you like to solve, or what functionality would you like to implement?

Well if I were to categorise, I'd say I'm looking for fun visual js libraries like for instance vincentgarreau.com/particles.js/
which is simple and gives instant visual feedback and also teaches students how to incorporate external libraries

You could try my reworked version of that abandoned library

tsParticles github.com/matteobruni/tsparticles

And if you need help you can reach me when you want

Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out !

Thank you! This helps out a lot
