I still like it when I need to do Ajax, and sometimes the syntax is easier to type, but it has certainly not been my first library install anymore because of native browser support for the features I usually used jQuery for.
I don't know why you're getting accused of hate. Sounds like maybe you've stumbled into a sensitive issue!
I don't see the obvious connection to spaghetti code, though. Maybe you didn't mean that term the way I usually see it used. A lot of the syntax in native JS is right out of jQuery.
I don't understand that "jQuery hater" comments too lol. Anyway, it's not 100% jQuery fault to encourage throwing spaghetti code, it can be also the developer's fault, why jQUery do that? because we can write commands with it like if you click that do that , it's vanilla too right? but when you're writing vanilla you're remaking things so you're obliged to set things up and organize your code. I may not drop jQuery forever, as I was being told I can import some functions and that's cool, because I was always greatful for jQuery making my life easier.
Thanks for your ideas Weston ♥ , this dicussion is really making some good noise
